We began as a coconut plantation in the interior of the state of Ceara, in 1982. At that time our fruits were processed and transformed into shredded coconut and coconut milk and only sold to big industries in Brazil as the raw-material for the manufacturing of products such as chocolates and ice-creams.
Three years later we created the brand Ducoco with the goal of offering the products directly to the final consumer. It was the beginning of a long and gratifying partnership between us and the consumers. Since then we have sought to have a close relationship with our consumers by investing in quality and innovations.
In 1997 we acquired the brand “Menina”, which was also a coconut byproduct company, thus raising our sales volume and the size of the farms.
The following year we decided to explore new segments and we began to produce semi-ready deserts and chocolate powder under the brand-names Frutop and Chocomax respectively.
And this was how we became a food company and changed our name from Ducoco to Ducoco Alimentos.
Today, our structure is made up of 7 farms, 2 factories, 3 distribution centers, 4 brands and 105 products. We have more than 1700 collaborators because of them and our millions of consumers, we expect to go even further.
